Britain marks this year the 75th anniversary of the 1948 arrival of the Windrush, carrying new migrants from the Caribbean. Windrush 75 offers the opportunity to celebrate the contribution of the Windrush pioneers and those who followed and to ensure that their history and legacy is passed on to future generations.
As this is a national event there will be a lot of fun activities for all ages.
The theme for this year’s Windrush Celebration is UNITY in Diversity!
As a nation, we have come far and it is right to come together and celebrate those that came before us and look forward in hope to the future.
